For the love of print

Wake-Up and Smell the Printed Coffee

By Ben Dodson

For me, one of the best things about our new Bespoke Group structure is our flexibility to support a wide range of businesses, technologies and markets. And, it continues to surprise me as to how often ‘print’ features in our conversations with clients, regardless of their focus.

One such example is our client Ripples™. This Israel-based start-up uses inkjet technology to print beautiful images, called ‘Ripples’, on top of frothed drinks including lattes, cappuccinos, hot chocolate and cocktails.

From selfies to marriage proposals, marketing messages or simple business branding, printed Ripples are capturing the imagination of some of the world’s biggest brands. These businesses are installing Ripple Makers (the company’s flagship machine) in corporate headquarters, hotels, cafés and restaurant chains; as well as at events and tradeshows etc.

Why are companies installing the Ripple Maker across the world? Quite simply, to wow their customers and add value to the customer experience for increased client retention and sales.

There’s much more I could add about the business opportunity represented by this capability, but needless to say that the printed element of this product is what’s driving the unique and personalized ‘Ripples’ experience, and what will no doubt be common place in years to come.

On International Print Day, it seems fitting to not only celebrate the traditional printing industry as we know it, but to also highlight other print technologies for other markets that share the same DNA.

As our agency readies itself to support Ripples’ participation at Host, a Milan-based Hospitality tradeshow, we raise a cup to the printing industry and look forward to seeing how it continues to impact other markets and astound us in the future.

PEOPLE SAY...

“A good PR agency makes an editor’s job much simpler, and Incus certainly ticks that box. They are organised and responsive to any ideas I throw their way, and will come up with editorial opportunities that benefit the publication, our readers, and their clients. Unlike some agencies, they have detailed knowledge of their subject area and produce accurate, relevant and high-level content.”
