Frost & Sullivan Commends XJet NanoParticle Jetting with Technology Innovation Award

Rehovot, Israel, July 2, 2018 – Recognized for addressing manufacturing challenges within multiple sectors, Frost & Sullivan has awarded XJet Ltd., the additive manufacturing company, with a Technology Innovation Award for its NanoParticle Jetting™ (NPJ) technology for metal and ceramic additive manufacturing.

Frost & Sullivan’s Best Practices Awards recognize companies throughout a range of regional and global markets for superior leadership, technological innovation, customer service, and strategic product development. Frost & Sullivan notes that XJet’s successful delivery of a user-friendly device with advanced programmable characteristics, remote operating systems, and highly sealed ink cartridges that ensure user safety on a secure platform is a best practice exemplified by the NanoParticle Jetting technology.

NPJ stands apart from other ceramic and metal AM technologies because it uses a liquid dispersion process as opposed to a powder-bed technology. This provides unique benefits in mechanical properties of materials and geometric properties of parts, resulting in better quality materials, which have better density and greater design freedom for designers and manufacturers. It also brings a lot of operational and safety advantages. With a large build tray up to 280x500mm NPJ technology creates a new environment for operators who need only basic skill sets, minimal training, and have practically no need to deal with safety issues, as high energy lasers and fine metal powders are eliminated, and materials are contained in enclosed cartridges. The technology is also scalable, opening many opportunities in future to print multiple materials and scale to the market’s needs.

According to Frost & Sullivan, with its ability to print different materials precisely, the technology will be highly beneficial for the automotive, aerospace, and robotics industries, where structures’ high strength-to-weight ratio or high strength-stiffness-to-weight ratio is critical.

“We’re delighted to win this celebrated award,” concludes XJet CEO Hanan Gothait, “XJet now has over 100 employees, innovative, brilliant people, many of whom work within our R&D labs, which are second-to-none. Bringing a wealth of experience from additive manufacturing and inkjet backgrounds, coupled with huge passion for the work, this team has generated 80 patents for XJet. I’m delighted to have the team’s hard work recognized with this award from Frost & Sullivan.”
