What began with initial projects, such as door stoppers and tank caps, has grown into a long-term partnership. Replique now serves as a global supplier for numerous projects and subsidiaries, including locations in Singapore, Brazil, Australia, France, Italy, Germany, Thailand, and Spain.

One Partner, Every Manufacturing Technology

With Replique, Alstom benefits from having a single partner for a wide range of manufacturing technologies. Whether 3D printing, CNC machining, casting, forging, or other processes, Replique evaluates each component to determine the most cost-effective and technically optimal solution. When needed, Replique manages the entire process – from design and qualification to production, finishing, quality assurance, and delivery to the end customer.

A single audit is sufficient to access Replique’s entire global partner network of more than 350 suppliers. Critical components are also qualified on-site when necessary.

High-Quality Components for Worldwide Operations

Replique has already produced volumes in the lower five-digit range for Alstom. These parts – made from materials ranging from stainless steel to flame-retardant plastics – are in daily use across railway operations, with all of them meeting Alstom’s specific testing and qualification requirements.

Practical Examples of the Collaboration

The versatility of this partnership is evident: an impeller in a metro solution cooling unit in Asia needed replacement. While the original manufacturer only offered to replace the entire block, Replique produced the single component and handled every step of the process – from metal 3D printing and balancing to precision milling and final corrosion-resistant coating. This sustainable solution allowed the locomotive to be returned to service quickly.

In Italy, Replique quickly delivered cast intercoolers to restore a train from the 1960s. Since the previous supplier was no longer available, Replique ensured production using 3D-printed casting molds, securing long-term spare part availability.

Additionally, for new series of Alstom trains, Replique supplies branding plates worldwide. “Replique doesn’t just deliver the components; it ensures consistently high quality across the globe, which is especially crucial for series production,” explains Lorenzo Gasparoni, Alstom 3D Printing Program Manager. “Replique also completed the entire series approval process, including First Article Inspection and First Article Mount – with excellent results.”

Bei Bedarf deckt Replique den gesamten Prozess ab: von Konstruktion und Qualifizierung über Produktion und Endbearbeitung bis hin zu Qualitätssicherung und Auslieferung an den Endkunden.

Ein einmaliges Audit reicht aus, um das gesamte globale Partnernetzwerk von Replique mit mehr als 350 Lieferanten zu nutzen. Bei kritischen Bauteilen finden zudem auch Vor-Ort-Qualifizierungen statt.

Hochwertige Bauteile für den weltweiten Einsatz

Über Replique wurden bereits Stückzahlen im unteren fünfstelligen Bereich für Alstom gefertigt. Die Teile – aus unterschiedlichsten Materialien wie Edelstahl oder brandgeschützten Kunststoffen – kommen täglich im Bahnbetrieb zum Einsatz. Dabei erfüllt Replique die spezifischen Prüfanforderungen von Alstom.

Praxisbeispiele aus der Zusammenarbeit

Die Vielseitigkeit der Zusammenarbeit zeigt sich in verschiedenen Anwendungsfällen: Ein Laufrad in einer Kühlanlage einer Metro in Asien musste ersetzt werden. Während der Originalhersteller nur den Austausch des kompletten Blocks vorsah, fertigte Replique das einzelne Bauteil und übernahm sämtliche Prozessschritte – vom Metall-3D-Druck über Auswuchtung und Fräsen auf Toleranz bis hin zur abschließenden Korrosionsschutzlackierung. Diese nachhaltigere Lösung ermöglichte eine schnelle Wiederinbetriebnahme der Lokomotive.

In Italien brachte Replique mit gegossenen Ladeluftkühlern für einen Zug aus den 1960er-Jahren eine schnelle Lösung. Da der frühere Lieferant nicht mehr verfügbar war, stellte Replique mithilfe 3D-gedruckter Gussformen die Produktion sicher und gewährleistet so die langfristige Ersatzteilversorgung.

Darüber hinaus werden für neue Serien von Alstom-Zügen Logoschilder weltweit über Replique produziert. „Replique liefert uns nicht nur die Bauteile, sondern garantiert weltweit gleichbleibend hohe Qualität. Esempi pratici di collaborazione

La versatilità di questa collaborazione è evidente: una girante in un’unità di raffreddamento per una metropolitana in Asia necessitava di essere sostituita. Mentre il produttore originale offriva solo la sostituzione dell’intero blocco, Replique ha prodotto il singolo componente e gestito ogni fase del processo – dalla stampa 3D in metallo al bilanciamento, alla fresatura di precisione e al rivestimento finale resistente alla corrosione. Questa soluzione sostenibile ha permesso alla locomotiva di rientrare rapidamente in servizio.

In Italia, Replique ha consegnato rapidamente intercooler prodotti tramite colata per restaurare un treno degli anni ’60. Dato che il precedente fornitore non era più disponibile, Replique ha permesso di continuare la produzione utilizzando stampi prodotti con stampa 3D e garantito la disponibilità a lungo termine dei pezzi di ricambio.

Inoltre, per le nuove serie di treni Alstom, Replique fornisce targhe con logo in tutto il mondo. “Replique non si limita a consegnare i componenti; garantisce una qualità costantemente elevata a livello globale, il che è particolarmente cruciale per la produzione in serie,” spiega Lorenzo Gasparoni, responsabile del programma Alstom 3D Printing. “Replique ha inoltre completato l’intero processo di approvazione della serie, inclusa la prima ispezione ed il primo montaggio – con risultati eccellenti.”
