Munich, Germany, July 9, 2024 – SolarEdge Technologies, a global leader in smart energy technology, announced today the appointment of Mr. Christian Carraro as the new General Manager of SolarEdge in Europe.

Mr. Carraro has been working in the solar industry since 2005. He joined SolarEdge in 2016 to lead the Italian market efforts and was quickly promoted to lead and manage the company’s Southern Europe business activities. During this time, he significantly expanded SolarEdge’s market share and enhanced brand recognition in Southern Europe territories.

Mr. Carraro is succeeding Mr. Alfred Karlstetter, who is stepping aside from this position in preparation for his retirement in one and a half years. Mr. Karlstetter has served as General Manager of Europe since 2015. Under Mr. Karlstetter’s leadership, he expanded SolarEdge’s European business to great heights while growing the staff and executive teams across Europe. Mr. Karlstetter will remain with the Company for a transitional period, overseeing strategic initiatives, mentoring and supporting Mr. Carraro in the transition.

Karlstetter rimarrà in azienda per un periodo di transizione, supervisionando le iniziative strategiche e supportando Carraro nella transizione.

Herr Carraro ist seit 2005 in der Solarbranche tätig. Herr Carraro folgt auf Herrn Alfred Karlstetter, der in Vorbereitung auf seinen Ruhestand in eineinhalb Jahren von dieser Position zurücktritt. Herr Karlstetter wird für eine Übergangszeit im Unternehmen bleiben, um strategische Initiativen zu beaufsichtigen und Herrn Carraro beim Übergang zu beraten und zu unterstützen.
