MILPITAS, California – 21 April 2026 – SolarEdge, a global leader in smart energy technology, today announced the launch of its new higher capacity commercial storage system in Europe and Asia. Now available for order, the new CSS-OD 197 kWh solution offers commercial businesses a tightly integrated, high-efficiency solar and storage solution to maximize the economics of solar self-consumption.

Designed for indoor or outdoor commercial and industrial (C&I) solar installations, the new CSS-OD 197 kWh comprises a 197 kWh-rated Battery Cabinet paired with one or two 50 kW battery inverters, and is scalable up to 1 MW and 4 MWh per site. Supporting a wide range of C&I storage use cases for medium- to large-scale commercial sites[i], the new CSS-OD 197 kWh-rated battery supports multiple applications and storage optimization modes including maximized self-consumption, peak shaving, tariff optimization, and export and import limit management. Other key benefits include robust safety and cyber security protections, simplified installation, and accelerated commissioning.

The expansion of SolarEdge’s commercial storage portfolio builds on strong sales of the SolarEdge CSS-OD 102.4 kWh-rated storage system, which was launched in late 2024 and is now installed at scale worldwide. Adding commercial storage to SolarEdge’s large base of C&I solar installations represents a significant and immediate new revenue opportunity for PV installers, as more businesses move towards self-consumption.

Die neue Lösung CSS-OD 197 kWh ist ab sofort bestellbar und bietet gewerblichen Unternehmen eine eng integrierte, hocheffiziente PV- und Speicherlösung zur Maximierung der Wirtschaftlichkeit des PV-Eigenverbrauchs.

Die neue CSS-OD 197 kWh wurde für PV-Anlagen für Gewerbe und Industrie (C&I) im Innen- und Außenbereich entwickelt und besteht aus einem Batterieschrank mit einer Nennkapazität von 197 kWh, der mit einem oder zwei 50-kW-Batteriewechselrichtern kombiniert wird – skalierbar auf bis zu 1 MW und 4 MWh pro Installation. Das System unterstützt eine Vielzahl von C&I-Speicheranwendungen für mittelgroße bis große Installationen[i] und eignet sich für verschiedene Anwendungen und Speicheroptimierungsmodi, darunter maximierter Eigenverbrauch, Spitzenlastabdeckung, Tarifoptimierung sowie Export- und Importlimitmanagement. Weitere wichtige Vorteile sind robuste Sicherheits- und Cybersicherheitsvorkehrungen, eine vereinfachte Installation und eine beschleunigte Inbetriebnahme.

Die Erweiterung des kommerziellen Speicherportfolios von SolarEdge baut auf den starken Verkaufszahlen der kleineren SolarEdge CSS-OD-Speicherlösung mit einer Nennleistung von 102,4 kWh auf, die Ende 2024 auf den Markt gebracht wurde und mittlerweile weltweit in großem Umfang installiert ist. Già disponibile sul mercato, la batteria CSS-OD da 197 kWh offre alle aziende una soluzione integrata ad alta efficienza per fotovoltaico e accumulo, sviluppata per massimizzare il valore economico dell’autoconsumo.

Progettato per installazioni fotovoltaiche commerciali e industriali (C&I), sia indoor che outdoor, il sistema di accumulo CSS-OD da 197 kWh è composto da un cabinet batteria con capacità nominale di 197 kWh abbinato a uno o due inverter da 50 kW, ed è scalabile fino a 1 MW e 4 MWh per singolo impianto.
