XJet signs Russian distributor at formnext

Rehovot, Israel – December 05, 2018 – Following a hugely successful formnext, the additive manufacturing company XJet Ltd. has announced that AB Universal has been appointed as a distributor of its metal and ceramic Carmel AM Systems in Russia following a deal signing at the exhibition.

AB Universal, a leading distributor of AM solutions in Russia, brings prior experience and expertise of XJet technology to the partnership having installed a Carmel 1400 AM System at its Moscow-based demo center for Additive Technologies.

Andrei Boyarintsev, Managing Director AB Universal, comments: “As soon as we witnessed XJet technology we could see its huge potential and wanted to be an early adopter. There’s no other technology capable of producing such finely detailed ceramic parts and we know there’s demand for this material in the medical sector as well as in aerospace, automotive and education. NanoParticle Jetting delivers the detail, density of material, near net shape and freedom of design features that provide the quality and accuracy of parts required, whilst also delivering dramatic time and cost savings when compared to traditional manufacturing methods. Since we installed the Carmel AM System we’ve experienced the unique advantages of the technology and now we want to deliver those benefits to the wider Russian industry, where we’re already meriting much interest.”

AB Universal joins Carfulan Group in XJet’s newly established distribution network. Recently appointed as XJet’s first channel partner, Carfulan distributes XJet AM systems in the UK and Ireland. Carfulan prospects and customers can see the proprietary NanoParticle Jetting™ technology for the first time in the UK at an Open House in Derby this week. With many applications received from potential distributors, XJet is considering each submission and also each region very carefully, to select which markets it will sell to through resellers.

“We’re developing our distribution infrastructure prudently, we want to keep our finger on the pulse in larger markets such as the USA and Germany so we’re aware of any new trends. Russia is an important market for XJet – according to experts additive manufacturing is at a stage of fast development in the region, growing at 30 percent per year. It seems to be moving much faster than the average global rate of 21 percent we saw in 2017 and with that rate of change we want to work with a specialist like ABU who can provide high levels of service and support, knows the market and has also experienced the benefits of the technology through its work in its demo center,” says Avi Cohen, XJet Vice President, Healthcare & Education.

AB Universal has been operating successfully in the Russian market for over 25 years, establishing itself as a reliable and proficient supplier of state-of-the-art equipment. Regularly supplying process equipment to the largest industrial enterprises, as well as healthcare, education, research centers and small companies. AB Universal is known for excellent customer support through its large, expert team for servicing and maintaining equipment.

“XJet technology offers something truly distinct. The soluble support material is a game-changer in metal and ceramic additive manufacturing and I believe there’s huge untapped potential of this technology in AM. By offering this new technology we expect to expand our customer base significantly,” says Boyarintsev. “We’re looking forward to a very fruitful relationship.”

PEOPLE SAY...

“As a technical writer for a variety of publications, I am always on the hunt for good technical stories. This often means working with PR companies to coordinate interviews with engineering companies. Incus Media were a delight to work with. They arranged interviews with relevant engineers very quickly, supported me throughout the writing phase and then provided interesting images which added real value to my article. If you’re a writer and looking to feature companies that are managed by Incus Media then you’re in luck.”
